500 mL bottle poured into a pint glass (I wish I had a nice big mug for this one) at fridge-cellar temperature. Bottle gushed with foam upon opening.

L – Deep gold color with a 1.5-finger white bubbly head that fades pretty quickly into a slick of bubbles at the surface. No lacing. Clear and effervescent. The lack of head retention is a little surprising after the exciting opening geyser of foam.

S – Lots of rich German malts with caramel, cereal, bread, nut, and honey aromas.

T – Again, lots of sweet malts with caramel, honey, bread, and cereal flavors. A bit of an earthy toasted bread flavor appears at the finish.

F – Light-to-medium bodied with lots of carbonation, a creamy and mouth-coating feel, and a sweet and toasty finish. Toasted malt flavors linger on the tongue and palate for a nice amount of time.

O – This is a really good Oktoberfest. It’s full of excellent German malt flavors and aromas and has the perfect ABV for a fest beer – not so little that you have to be drinking all day to feel anything but not so little that you’re one and done. I wish the head retention was a little better and there was a bit less carbonation for the sake of the flavor and mouthfeel, but this is a great beer. I’m so glad it’s getting to be fall. Even if I do live in Charleston and it’s still 90 degrees, I’m gonna drink some fall beers, dammit.

I poured a bottle into a mug.

Appearance- Golden orange color with two and a half fingers worth of off-white head. Good head retention with a fair amount of runny lacing.

Smell- Caramel malt, crackers, grain and honey.

Taste- Rich malty sweetness with notes of caramel and honey. Very faint hints of hop bitterness.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied, creamy, and smooth. Nice amount of carbonation.

Overall- A tasty oktoberfest style brew. Very drinkable and very enjoyable.

Clear, deep golden-amber color. Lots of bubbles rising up. Thick and creamy head. Leaves a very nice lacing behind.

Very bready in nose. Caramel, honey, a little hint of fruity.

Rich maltiness up front. Deep bready malts, caramel, cookie dough, touch of dried peaches, slight dryness towards the finish. Full bodied, creamy, very soft carbonation.

The best Oktoberfest ever!!

A-golden amber with a thick cream colored head

S-good honey grains. Medium to strong scent, smells sweet.

T-comes in with a decent taste of roasted biscuity grains and honey. This is awesome! The end has a syrupy sweetness and some bitterness. Overall this is awesome.

M-creamy medium carbonation with a crisp finish

O-this is an amazing Oktoberfest. The tastes are awesome yet subtle enough that I could drink liters of this all night

Pours a clear, light amber color with a littl more than a finger of fluffy white head, retention is ok.

The scent is of caramel malt and sweet grains, some notes of hops.

The taste is of toasted caramel malts and grains. Hops that bring out a slight tea flavor are also noticeable.

Light body, smooth and clean feel, moderate carbonation.

This was really nice oktoberfest, nice balanced flavor and refreshing.

Pours a dark, super clear and lustrous bronzy whiskey-ish yellow. Nose is hidden, some tones of alcohol, and an oddly new car like vibe. Taste is light toasted grain, and light malt and some light sweetness. Mid to low on bitterness. Mouth-feel is wet, refreshing, carbonation is high and scrubbing, with a creamy, but not oocky finish. Really liked this too, my first marzen, and came with a very spiffy bottle cap that will look terrific with our other frig-mag caps. Would have again.

Poured into a mug. The color is orange/copper. There is a small half inch off-white head.

There is a nice caramel malt aroma. There is a mild vegetable-like hop aroma to slightly balance out the nice maltyness.

The taste has some nice caramel malt flavor that also has some nice crusty bread notes. There is a really fresh tasting grassy hop finish.

This is medium bodied with nice crisp carbonation. Delicious.

500ml bottle from CJ's Potsdam NY for 5$

Appearance - Clear amber/copper colour with a huge size fizzy off-white coloured head. There is a low amount of carbonation and there is some decent lacing. The head lasted for 3 or 4 minutes.

Smell - Malts, caramel, ceral, dark fruits

Taste & Mouth - There is a below average amount of carbonation and I can taste hops, malts, and caramel. There is also some cereal sweetness and raisins/grapes. It ends with a semi sweet malty aftertaste.

Overall - Not as good as I was expecting, but still an above average brew. Some good grassy/grainy flavours here that suit the fall/Oktoberfest season well.
