Clear straw until the yeast sediment is poured out. Lots of chunks. Then it becomes hazy. Nice white head. Great wheat-borne retention and lacing.

Nice sweet banana bread bread smell, some lemon, and spices.

Sweet ripe banana upfront, banana bread, chewy, grainy, lemon zest, vanilla, hay, and clove. Damn delicious beer.

Nice creamy feel, well carbonated, smooth, a bit watery on the backend but otherwise perfect.

Damn, this is good. Not even the best of the best, but very good nonetheless. Actually, fantastic!

The König Ludwig Weissbier Naturtrüb. It does not say Hefe on the label of my bottle, but is most likely contains 50% of malted wheat. Comes in a 50cl dark glass bottle. 5,5% ABV. Poured in a Weihenstephaner glass.
Cloudy it is. Bright pine-apple-yellow colour. 3 finger head. Fine carbonation.
Smells like biscuit and a bit milk cream, little bit of citric acid.
Tickles the tongue, Yeast with a a little bit of sour green apple, maybe unripe banana, Not to sweet, smooth aftertaste, dry with hints of breadcrust.
Lovely Weissen it is.

bought in the edeka in ohlsdorf, this is close to very good hefeweizen, just lacking that fullness of flavour, defintley some nice estery flavour, clove, banana, some white bread malt, lot of lemon, orange, quite sweet, herbal, a light bitterness, it just kind of peters out towards the end, drinkable all the same, a nice wheat beer

Appearance: Cloudy straw yellow. Thick white head. Great head retention.

Aroma: Banana and clove. Initial toasty note in there.

Flavor & Aftertaste: Yeasty notes, spicy hops. Dry finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Soft. Moderate carbonation

Overall: Excellent Hefe. Typical German craftsmanship. Noted a toasty aroma initially that I have not smelled in others but it was not off putting. Yes, I'd drink this again.

A little lacking in overall flavor. We tried 3 wheat beers tonight, Hoegaarden, Weihenstephaner and Konig Ludwig and I would rank them in that order.

Purchased from Purvis Beer in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2022 and drunk the same month.

Pours a late sunset orange with a massive, white, classic wheat beer head. Adding the yeast after a swirl of the bottle drops the colour a notch and turns up the opaqueness.

Dipping the nose into the wheat beer glass gives clear scents of pear, custard apple, vanilla, some banana, a touch of clove and some yeatsy phenolics.

Taste largely follows the nose with a little more clove and a sweet, vanilla bubblegummy finish that lingers a touch before vanishing.

Mouthfeel is smooth, with little noticeable carbonation and an easy slide down the pipes. There's a mild warming sensation in the stomach and throat afterwards.

Overall it's a mild, sweet, drinkable hefeweissen. I wonder if it's a touch too sweet, though. I doubt I'd go back for a second straight away after drinking this - would want something crisper or hoppier. The beauty of beer is that those options are usually about an arm's length away!

Cheers!
