L: Pours hazy straw under a 2” white foam collar that hugs the side of the glass.
S: Big banana nose is detectable from 5 feet away.
T: Banana, bread and clove on the palate with the balance towards the banana. A hint of bubble gum and traces of vanilla arise near the end and the beer finishes with a lingering clove presence on the tongue.
F: Creamy, luscious and full bodied with above average carbonation.
O: Liquid banana bread that is very easy to drink.

Poured a hazy golden color, one finger head, little retention and lacing. Nice big aroma of bananas and cloves, followed by a straw smelling wheaty fragrance. The flavor was nice and spicy with a nice tangy slight citrus flavor. Mouthfeel was thinner than I like in a Hefeweizen, but it did have some very nice carbonation, making it very refreshing. Overall, this is not a bad Hefeweizen, would be perfect for a hot summer afternoon refresher.

Poured a cloudy golden body with three fingers of thick fluffy white head that slowly receded. Overall impression of appearance is of a perfect Hefeweizen, nothing wrong at all. Scents of light levels of citrus, strong phenol presence of clove, balanced with a moderate ester aroma of bananas and medium-light grainy wheat malt. Overall impression of aroma is of a classic Hefeweizen, well balanced between phenolic and ester derived aromas. Flavor begins pleasantly sweet and tart with notes of banana and clove mingling with softly sweet Pilsner malt and light citrus flavors. Middle is still lightly sweet with further banana flavor balanced equally with clove along with soft grainy wheat malt and light tartness. Finish is lightly sweet with notes of banana and clove mingling with medium-light grainy wheat malt and light tart citrus and a soft sweet malt presence. Aftertaste is phenolic with clove and light white pepper dominating and a soft grainy wheat malt. Overall impression of flavor is of a classic Hefeweizen, true to style and quite appealing. Mouthfeel is medium-light bodied yet creamy, with effervescent carbonation and a light finish. Overall impression of mouthfeel is of a good, true to style Hefeweizen. Overall this is a very good Hefeweizen with a classic aroma and flavor, aided by a true to style mouthfeel. It is a quite good example of the style, that while not reaching Weihenstephaner in quality, is still quite good.

This is a nice Hefeweizen. It pours a straw yellow color with an impressive foamy head. Aroma is earthy, lemon like; a hint sweet malt takes over as the drink warms. Taste consists of lemon, wheat, and a tiny hint of honey. Smooth, crisp and refreshing feel. A good warm weather drink.

Pours a hazy straw color. It tasted crisp and refreshing with a fruity finish. The citrus and wheat together work nicely. This would be a great beer for the warmer days.

One of the nicest Hefeweizens I've tried. Very intensive banana aromas and taste. Not overly carbonated, medium body. SImilar to Andechser Weissbier, Weihenstephaner and Maisel's Weisse.

Each bottle of this brew from my 6-pack is loaded with yeast and trub begging for gentle agitation prior to pouring. A soft hazy 20 caret gold colored brew having majestically odoriferous aromas of lemon, banana and a touch of clove make for a very enjoyable balance of flavors. The weight of this brew is slightly light for the style, though super crisp and refreshing. A touch of lip smacking sweetness begs for another mouthful. A very enjoyable well made Hefe, worthy of your interest.

Poured from the bottle into a wheat ale glass.

Opaque and classic unfiltered yellow to dingy orange at the top. Nice amounts of carbonation, capped with a classic foamy slightly cream yellow vanilla tinged head of about three fingers. Frothy just a bit as it settles, with virtually no lacing. Pretty solid looking hefe.

Straight forward aroma and solid as well. Real nice wheat subtleties, but also a good creamy milk sweetness, hints of clove as well. Real neat cream smelling angle on this, with a sense of light body perhaps coming.

Boy I can't seem to kick that cream either on the palate. Really great washing coating palate of milk and vanilla. Spiced finish and mid palate that fills almost hop forward with a bit of bitter kick. Decent malt body with a hint of chew but a real nice controlled sweetness to match.

Seems to let go of real high banana and bubblegum esters, and stays away from chewy texture. Has a real great sense of controlled creamy light sweetness and spice though unlike other hefes though. Real interesting brew.

A: cloudy; pale gold; a 2 finger pillowy white head that receded to a thick collar; no lacing;

S: clove is most prominent, but banana is also clearly there; a little breadiness is in the background;

T: mild wheat up front; clove and banana come in mid-palate; clove is predominant; bubble gum is noticeable on the finish;

M: light bodied; effervescent, but on the low side;

O: nice, but there are better options;

Appearance:
Golden color, very cloudy. Good amount of carbonation rising. Nice frothy head.

Aroma:
Lots of pear in the aroma, I get some aporcot and a little banana. Some spices. Deep bready malt.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Deep fruity character up front, mostly pears, I get some aporcot and bananas with some touch of lemon. There some spices, nutmeg and cloves. Deep malt character, sweet, bready, doughy. Finish is dry, a little tart, yeasty. Body is chewy, a little creamy, crisp, refreshing, smooth, dry.

Overall:
It's a very nice Hefeweizen.

Best by date of 08.15.14.
Poured from a pint bottle into a weizen glass on 03.25.14.

A: Straw yellow. Yeast at top. 1/4 finger head.

S: Lemon, wheat, clove.

T: Lemon dominates. Orange, wheat are there too. Banana, sweet clove are more subtle.

M: Creamy smooth.

O: This had a very sweet aftertaste, which I liked. The flavors were strong too, compared to more watery hefs. This seemed like a cross between a Paulaner and an Ayinger. It had the orange of a Paulaner and the lemon of the Ayinger. I would put this into rotation if I could find it easily.

According to the website '[Introducing] The new Kaltenberg Hefe-Weissbier, a sister to König Ludwig Weissbier'.

A: Wheatbeer appearance.
S: Banana and fruits, a bit of sherbet.
T: Refreshing banana and bubblegum. Snappy and fresh tasting. Nothing much more to say really.
O: A good Hefeweizen.
