Notes/Commercial Description:
Cameron’s Lager is pale golden in colour, this European lager is brewed with “noble hops”, the term noble hop refers to traditional varieties that have low bitterness and high aroma that have been grown for hundreds of years. Only the finest two row malted barley is used. Never rushed, this lager is fermented cold and long, to create a crisp, fresh and great for easy drinking occasions.

355 mL bottle from LCBO, into pint glass. No expiry date, but it says "NA ZDRAVIE" under the cap. Does that mean it's a Slovak Pilsner?

Medium straw color with bubbly, short-lived head. Lots of carbonation visible.

Good lager aroma, malty with strong undertones of sulfur and mineral water.

Hey, this is a proper pilsner! Light but flavorful, with crackery pils malt to start and a moderate kick of spicy, herbaceous noble hops on the back end. Sulfur and mineral notes are present subtly and add complexity. Very dry and refreshing.

Thin body with lively carbonation.

Great "fancy lawnmower beer" (sorry, St. Arnold) to my tastes; clean and refreshing without being bland. Could go a little easier on the carbonation.

Serving Type - 341ml bottle poured into a pilsner glass.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden colour. Looks like your typical euro-style lager, but maybe a bit darker. It poured with a finger of fluffy white head which disappeared pretty quickly, leaving behind a faint amount of lacing.

Smell - Lot's of grass and grains and bread. Pretty standard fare. There might be some light spicy notes in there as well.

Taste - Very bready - reminiscent of a good pilsner. Other than that, there's some grassy and spicy notes, mostly towards the finish.

Mouthfeel - Light-medium body. Almost heavy for the style tho? Carbonation is pretty high, makes for a crisp and satisfying finish. Yum.

Overall - 3.5/5

Pale straw in colour, topped by a finger of pale white head. Head is lacy but poorly retained. Mild cereal aroma, simple but with no apparent flaws. It tastes extremely clean, which I suppose is an appropriate yardstick to measure this style of beer by. No buttery or vegetal character. None of the green apple skin that mars many industrial lagers like Carling or Canadian. This just has a simple and delicate grainy flavour with the barest hint of hop bitterness, and an almost non-existent finish.

Light-bodied with pretty low carbonation for the style, a pleasant change from the prickly feel common to many industrial lagers. This wont excite the average Beer Advocate, and that's ok. This isn't meant for them. It's clean, simple, light, and meant to be all things to all people - or in other words, it's meant to be nothing to anyone. I think it succeeds.

Appearance: It has a nice semi-cloudy pale straw yellow color to it. It has a nice white head that dies down quite fast but leaves nice lacing.

Smell: The aromas give out hints of sweet bready and grainy malts with some grassy and floral hops.

Taste: Like the aromas, it has a sweet bready malt character to it with light grain and grassy hops.

Mouthfeel: It has a low/medium carbonation with a thin and slightly watery overall balance and feel.

Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied with decent flavors and aromas.
