Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a chalice.

Appearance: Pours a hazy yellowish orange with a lot of bubbles. Slight white head that quickly fades away.

Smell: A tart, juicy, and funky aroma with a scent of funky yeast and dry fruit. Solid scent of Brett lacto yeast with good hints of funk. Hints of wheat along with some cracker and grains. Fruit hints of lemon, pear, green apple, and white grape. A solid light tart aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a crisp, tart, juicy, and funky taste with notes of lacto yeast and fruit. Upfront scent of lacto and Brett yeast funk. Soft malt notes of straw, wheat, and cracker. Dry fruit notes of pear, green apple, lemon, and white grape. A solid crisp tart taste.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a medium to high level of carbonation. Juicy, crisp, and drying.

Overall: A solid light session sour. Nice yeast and fruit flavor. (872 characters)

12 oz bottle with a May 2015 bottle date and a Nov. 2015 BB date.

Pours clear amber with a short-lived head.

Intriguing aroma has a hint of sweetness, some ripe fruit notes, and a bit of light roasted grains.

The flavor is very bold for a "session" beer due to the high level of tartness. Despite the strong tart flavor, some bready grains come through as well as faint spicy notes.

O: aside fro being very tart, this is not a challenging beer. (455 characters)

poured a golden color with a quickly-diminishing white head of about 1/2" Very little lacing.
Slight lacto tartness, some white grape, wheat, pear.
Taste has a tartness upfront with tastes of white wine, pears, sour apple, sour berries.
Feel is light and dry with a good amount of carbonation.
Overall, it is very "sessionable" by way of being very light-bodied and low abv. Kept the tartness on the lower side of the spectrum, which is against why I enjoy these types of beers. (480 characters)

Date: June 25, 2015...Vessel: La fin du Monde tulip...Occasion: return home from the shore on a cool summer night... Appearance: hazy, almost opaque body that shines with a glowing orange yellow brilliance; head settles to a smear of off-white fencing; slow, steady effervescence; ... Aroma: fruity, wet blanket and and cereal malts; secondary hints of bubblegum, barnyard yeasts and apple...Palate: thin, cider-like profile that slices through the tongue; dry and puckering, with a bubbly, medium-bodied... Taste: ciderlike in its apple and pear, with other fruity esters, sour with enough cherry and licorice to vary the profile; tart, puckerish, and refreshing...Overall: not much to nitpick, though it behaves with more fruitiness than a Berliner offers...a late maltiness also dampens the refreshing quality... (816 characters)
