The Jester’s Tree is a collaboration brew between Weyerbacher and our friends at Naparbier of Spain. This hearty Imperial IPA weighs in at 9.2% ABV and 100 IBU. With over 7.5 pounds of hops per barrel, this hop explosion will give Hopheads everywhere something to cheer about!
We used Apollo, El Dorado and Hopsteiner Experimental Hop 06300 throughout the entire brewing process, from kettle to whirlpool (not to mention the multiple dry hop additions). The result? The perfect balance between bitterness and the maltiness of Pale and Melanoidin malts that makes you happy to be alive.
Hints of orange and coconut give The Jester’s Tree a tropical and fruity flavor, making this the perfect beer to enjoy on the beach or on the deck!

From XXXII. In Duvel glass, playing KB Dark Side. For being a DIPA the alcohol is well hidden and drinks very easy. However its taste have much room for improving, and its smell isnt much nice.

Poured into Weyerbacher Cuvee
A-golden yellow with 1/2 " white head that has little retention settling into a slight white foam. Thick lacing coats the sides of the glass. Lots of particulate matter floating throughout the beer (4.0)
S-Hop aroma renders a big tropical fruit nose. Mango, Pineapples, orange, papaya (4.5)
T-Sweet malts with a big sweet tropical fruit hop bomb. Follows the nose with the coconut more pronounced as is some spiciness. slight pine and lemon rind bitterness but the tropical fruits and coconut are the dominant flavors along with the sweet maltiness. Good balance between malts and hops (4.5)
M-smooth medium bodied beer with nice coating and mild bitterness. Alcohol hidden and carbonation is spot on (4.25)
O-If you like an IIPA that is balanced with hops that deliver a sweet tropical flavor mixed with some coconut then this is the beer for you. I am a big fan of this one and hope Weyerbacher makes it again as it is easily one of their best beers and the best IPA they have made. Certainly different from many of the IIPA's on the market. the citrus takes a back seat to the more tropical sweet fruits. (4.5)

A: Soft pour not much of a lacing beer has a beautiful hazy rich amber color
S: smells like a resinous hop cone was just shoved up my nostrils very deep very rich but pure resin
T: very resinous beautiful really and bitter slight bite of alcohol
M: Nice coating of resin then shallow in the feel I thought it be thicker a lot of lingering booze
O: I'm not a weyerbacher fan at all this is pretty solid though I like it's just pure resin bomb and boozy nothing wrong with either
