Served in a Unibroue La Fin du Monde Chalice
Appearance - Pours a nice ruby brown color. About an inch of latte colored head forms with good carbonation. After settling, there is a thin ring around the glass of the same latte colored head. However does not leave much lacing at all.
Smell - toffee and roasted caramel. Pick up some slight root beer smell which is fitting of its color
Taste - the carbonation really brings up the bitterness, get some slight chocolate tastes towards the end of swallowing
Mouthfeel - creamy with a nice backing of carbonation
Drinkability - maybe could have a few of these, but don't know if i could take the bitterness that stays in my mouth
Have enjoyed some of the other beers from Weyerbacher more so than this one and certainly better winter warmers out there
Serving type: bottle
