A-Deep hazy amber body with 1 finger head. Small whisp of carbonation and foam film top the glass.
S-Big time Belgian phenols and esters. Lots of bubble gum and dark fruits. Slightly carmelized sugar as well.
T-Lot of flavors come out strong and well-balanced. Yeast spice is evident but is well supported by the rich malt backbone. Hops are tough to detect. Warming alcohol seems to be appropriate. Rich with residual sweetness and a raisin-like finish.
M-Carbonation is high which dries out the body a bit for such a big beer. Alcohol is noticeable but not out of bounds.
D-Dangerously drinkable but more of a sipper than anything. This is definitely one of my most impressive picks as of late and seems to do well in an, often, misunderstood category.
