Purchased a 4pk at Wegmans in Warrington, PA
Purchase price: $12.99
Poured into and sampled from a DFH Signature Glass
A - Beer pours a mostly translucent, amber/reddish color. A quickly fading one finger head on the initial pour. Decent lacing left after drinking.
S - A slightly boozy, sweet caramel aroma. Hints of spice.
T - A sweet yet not cloying beer. A mix of burnt and caramelized sugars, dark fruits and the familiar banana-like taste I usually associate with Belgian-style beers. Although it's an almost 12% ABV beer, the alcohol is pretty well disguised but I did notice it more as the beer warmed up. Smooth drinking. A sipper for sure.
M - Nicely carbonated with a medium consistency.
O - This is usually not the style of beer that I normally gravitate towards but I enjoy the brews from Weyerbacher so I gave it a try. It's quite tasty and I'm glad I picked it up. I would purchase this again. Nice job, Weyerbacher!
