(purchased from the brewery... best by date Sept 14 2014... poured into a 20 oz British pint)

A: a generous pour produces a glass of half crazy-pale yellow liquid and half whipped-spongy, cotton-white foam... not as cloudy as expected, but still a deep haze... the head eventually settles down into a solid cover of crater-marked suds... random streaks of lace

S: flowery, with a soft whisper of anise at the start - breath in deep and long and a surge of bright coriander finishes off the whiff... ends up taking on lasting honey-kissed white cornbread, mild white pepper, and husky coriander aromas

T: very prominent rush of coriander, fading away with a Kix cereal-like character taking its place... a decidedly corn meal aftertaste - something along the lines of cornbread that hasn't cooked all the way through (still batter-y)... almost a celery leaf, garden greens element lingering in the back... mellow bitterness... vaguely-citrus, lactic sort of bland tartness builds on the front of the palate... yeah, this seems all coriander and floury wheat - not much else sticking out - no specter of sweetness

M: proper, bright palate excitement up front, but incredibly dull, dry flow starting before the middle of the palate... a 'dry' wetness - don't know how else to explain it - strange... if you can follow this - it's sort of like when liquid water is thrown out into very low subzero temps and it immediately freezes into powdery crystals - this immediately poofs out into almost nothing... the absence of viscosity, dryness without parching - neutral... again, strange, but it makes it disgustingly easy to pound

O: one of the stranger Wits you may come across... not great flavor-wise, but ridiculously drinkable

12 oz. bottle poured into a 22 oz TGIF/Applebees glass.

A--Very light yellow, hazy look. Looks Like a proper wit. No real head, which obviously can't leave lacing.

S--Citrusy & lemon. A little bit of muskiness.

T--Lemon & other citrus flavors. Pretty mild all around.

M--Light & crisp. Carbonation that didn't form a head seemed to be holding back to make an airy mouthfeel.

O--Weyerbacher is my second favorite brewery, but this one is a miss. It's not actively bad, but it's not especially good either. Just Bleh, I expect better from these folks.

look: 3.75 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3.5 | overall: 3.5

Poured a hazy straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured featured light esters and a touch of sweetness.

The taste was likewise mildly estuary with some citrus note and a wheat spice.

The mouthfeel was toward the lighter side of the style.

Overall a serviceable wit.
