Hazy red with medium tan frothy head and good retention. Caramel barley, yeast and bourbon oak. Sweet bourbon caramel with light barley and a bready finish. Notes of oak and vanilla. Light fuzz, slick and dry but overall a very heavy body.
Great flavor but it sits very heavy on the palate and stomach. Alcohol is well incorporated with the taste. Nothing is overpowering but it’s overall a heavy barley-wine making it a tough decision whether it’s a fantastic beer or just a plain ol’ great beer *sarcastic*. It was certainly a great compliment (especially in name) to go with the end of the 4th season of Dexter.
