Nice label, competent brewery, intrigued.
12oz bottle poured into Bruery snifter.
Thin, white head, collapses to ring a top ruby red elixir. Sparse lacing.
Kicks it with the aroma. Oak, sweet vanilla, caramel, cherries. Nice.
Had my first taste in line at Peg's, in Gulfport, FL. Strong fruit (berries), caramel, toffee, with mild bitter alcohol on the tongue.
The mouthfeel is light, creamy, some lingering alcohol.
Overall nice oak flavor to the traditional barleywine style.
