pouring everything in shows a frothy soft looking head initially, and a dark amber body with some haze.
On the Aroma grilled caramelized brown sugar pears are the first thing that hits my mind, fruits are noticeable and play second to the malts.
Very nice, this beer opens up on the palate and proves it spent time in barrels, the level of heat is great, bourbon soaked red apples, brown sugar, caramel, oak, bourbon, and pears.
mouthfeel is just leaning to the full and viscous side of the spectrum.
This is a very good english barleywine, never gets cloying as the heat keeps everything balanced very well, more depth here then usual.
