P: Murky mud brown body like sludge run off with a minimal taupe head that fades quick. Snail trail lacing.
S: Overripe pineapple nearly rotten, sulfur farts, sour milk, subtle banana phenol, agave nectar, prunes, corn syrup, hints of berries and bourbon soaked wood.
T/M: Melted toffee, thick butterscotch that sticks to the roof of your mouth, buttery almonds, cardboard, bitter apple peels, banana, brown sugar, loads of killed barley and a slight chalkiness on the end. Mouthfeel is sticky and thick like a dentists nightmare and the carbonation is at a dull roar that keeps the thickness going.
O: Caution this may cause a diabetic comma. I imagine this is pretty close to drinking pancake syrup from the bottle. Sweet, thick, sticky malt at every angle of this brew. Nice bitterness at the end to round it all off. I love the oaked presence that brings in the bourbon presence. I'm anxious to try two vintages side by side. Cheers!
