12 oz. bottle served at cellar temperature.
Slightly hazy, medium ruby body. Half inch of gauzy, light khaki head. Some lacing. Nose of rummy fruits, caramel, oak, vanilla, and coconut. Rich, complex, and inviting.
Light herbal, woody bitterness up front. Rich, rummy fruits follow. Sweet, but not cloying. Caramel and tobacco show up as well. Oak, tannins, and vanilla round off the malty sweetness. Toasted coconut and butterscotch into the finish. Warming, rummy alcohol, but not too hot. Lingering oak, fruit, and caramel. Full-bodied with a thick, almost chewy feel. Very good.
