A - Pours a bright and very clear copper gold color with steady, mild carbonation. Lacing is bright white and dies down to a moderately thick ring.
S - Nice nose dominated by spicy dank tropical fruit aromas: guava, passion fruit, pineapple, mango. A little herbal but not much.
T - Tropical fruit hops from start to finish and becomes a little more balanced towards the end before another wave of dank, bold, and spicy hops crash over the top to give it a lingering juicy and piney bitter finish. The alcohol does poke through and isn't shy even though it's pretty subdued with the nose.
M - Full bodied, thick, slight alcohol warming on the way down.
O - Nicely done, Weyerbacher! Worth seeking out.

-Spiegelau ipa glass.
A: Beautiful tangerine pour, very cloudy and dense in nature with a showering rate of micro-effervesce fills the vessel. Foamy, micro-porous textured pie colored head, one inch high, retains nicely.
S: Tangerine and grapefruit juice, fresh juicy oranges and mango fruitiness is highlighted by accents of lightly dry tropical fruit. Hints of semi-dry lemon slices of nice strength adds some citric hop punch.
T: Big, bittering blast of dry citrus and dry orange peel hops. Citric-tropical fruit, dry hopped, mingles with some wet pine and a grainy-herbal backing. Bite of sour citric-orange hops on the finish with good creamy malt support.
M: Medium full body, orange-juice like consistency, small carbonation factor, with a warmth of dry oranges and alcohol coming on the swallow.
O: A big dry orange and hop bittering blast lives up to its double ipa billing. With some added complexity of tropical fruit from the galaxy hops provides a smooth transition of hop flavors with a good wow factor that finishes dry and bitter. Very good.

Hazy golden color with a slight head but lacking lacing. Incredible tropical fruit and dank herbal scents. Great tropical fruit taste with a good malt backbone. I can't put my finger on the exact fruit but it's different and yummy. Medium light body but more in the light side and could use more body. Overall this beer is pretty tasty and smells fanatics but could add body to make it better.

this is damn good ipa, even though ive forgotten it in the fridge a little past its ideal point i imagine, it hasnt faded much. the mosaic stands above the rest of the hops, with the distinctive simcoe right in there behind. this might be the best beer from these guys i have had, thanks to my dad for hooking me up with it. the pour is really unsexy. its real cloudy yeasty and nasty looking, without a lot of head, and some visible sediment around in there. not the bright and gracefully hazy east coast type, the murky weird kind, almost looks like english barleywine. i dont smell the booze at all. the hops may be a little faded from the nose, but the mosaic still stands out the most to me. a little bit of grain sweetness, but this is really all about the hops, and definitely isnt one of those overly malty big india pales. the hops rise above the weird look and the somewhat muted nose to really shine in the taste. im almost shocked by how delicious the first sip is. way ahead of expectations. mosaic again, but this time i get the cascade in with the simcoe in second place, great woody bitterness to balance the tropical ripeness. really fun and drinkable beer. i never taste yeast or grain tannins or anything, so the cloudiness bothers me none, maybe just some protein or something, no issue at all. surprisingly too its rather well carbonated, and the booze is hidden nicely. this is the kind of double ipa i like to drink, a little raw but really well put together. would like to try the number two now!
