This was a case picked up at Brewskies of New Oxford, PA. Around $62.00 after PA 6% tax.
Look: The brew poured a very nice orangeish-copper color. Carbonation bubbles were plentiful. The head was a nice thick beige layer of foam - about 1 finger.
Smell: Nice aroma of nutmeg and cinnamon. Some slight notes of biscuit.
Taste: The palate basically defined pumpkin pie in a glass. I’ve honestly never had the pleasure of Southern Tier ‘Pumking’ but from what I’ve heard, this one is a close second. The palate is a perfect balance of pumpkin pie spices and bready piecrust qualities.
This is honestly the best pumpkin ale I’ve had to date; even better then the Dogfish Head Punkin by far.
