Appearance: Semi-translucent amber with a small off-white head. Ruby red when held up to the light.
Aroma: Cinnamon, nutmeg, a hint of cloves. Also some real pumpkin aroma in there. Smells like a pumpkin pie right out of the oven.
Taste: The spices are subdued here, which works in its favor. Getting some caramel and other light malts that play a supporting role for the pumpkin. The pumpkin flavor here is really nice. Slightly sweet with a flavor like the aroma of baking pumpkin. The cinnamon sticks with you in the aftertaste. The alcohol is hidden really well here.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a good level of effervescence for the style. The aftertaste gets cloying after a little while. Average drinkability.
Final Thoughts: I'm currently brewing a Pumpkin Ale and I hope it turns out like this one. The spices are at a great level and the pumpkin flavor really shines. A likable beer that I'll probably buy again when it starts getting colder outside.
