2012 bottle poured into a tulip.
Pour: Mostly clear deep amber with no head, just a film.
Smell: Some cinnamon, clove, vanilla, slight pumpkin spice. Really weak.
Taste: Light pumpkin spice and some cinnamon. Little bit of malt breadyness, a quite a bit of clove and allspice on the back. Still, not what I was hoping for.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and easily the most enjoyable part of this beer.
Overall: My first pumpin beer, and if this is supposed to be one of the best in the style, I am quite disappointed. Was expecting more pumpkin flavor and spice. Excited to see what other in the style have to offer this fall, and happy I got this one out of the way with a single now. Maybe I just don't get the style yet.
