We set out to make a bold monument for The King of the Pumpkins!
This 8.0% ABV pumpkin ale is the mother of all pumpkin ales. It is heartier, spicier and more “caramelly” and “pumpkiny” than its faint brethren! We have added lots of pumpkin along with cinnamon, nutmeg and a touch of cardamom and clove, giving this beer a spicy, full-bodied flavor.

This truly is an Imperial Pumpkin Ale. Perfect finisher on a cool autumn night or match it up with a slice of pumpkin pie and fresh whipped cream.

This is only my second season enjoying the fall harvest spiced beers that have become popping up. Although this one misses the sweetness others deliver, the bold spice notes make it a fun one to try.

A: Clear caramel amber. Light bubbles, <1/4” lacing. Almost non-existent head.

S: Deep notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and baked yams.

T: Big cinnamon and clove mid-notes. Clean finish with only a slight trace of clove lingering.

M: Slight viscosity, but thinner than I would have anticipated.

O: Decent execution for a spice/pumpkin beer. Low carbonation was just right, but brewery delivered fairly well on the big spice flavors. Would have appreciated heavier low-notes and a little more syrup in the mouth feel.

Imperial Pumpkin Ale pours a clear copper color, with very little. The aroma has a strong note of pumpkin, and is creamy. The taste has a nice bitter undertone, with hints of nutmeg, and cinnamon, it blends very nicely. Very nice flavors, blends good, still has a beer taste. Overall a fantastic pumpkin beer up there with the best.

Orange/amber with 2-3 fingers of head. Great retention and low carbonation.

Pumpkin meat, mint, clove, pumpkin stem, caramel and candy sugar.

Sweet pumpkin meat and herbaceous qualities of pumpkin stem and mint leaves. Notes of clove and ginger and a light essence of nutmeg. Caramel malts for the backbone along with some candy sugar.

Medium bodied, crisp and sticky.

Heavily reliant on the spices and very herbaceous this year. The 8% abv is covered well as always.
