A: Pours a deep clear copper color and is followed by a very stable white foam head.
S: Hard to get any smell beyond the Simcoe, heavy earthy tones followed by pine and alcohol, very medicinal.
T: Hops dominates everything and not in a good way, over the top bitter(almost soapy), green resinous flavor. Any malt profile is completely masked, no balance whatsoever.
M: Hop oils coat mouth, feels dense. Carbonation was strong, but appropriate.
O: Did not enjoy this beer, I love hoppy beers, but good god this is an all out assault to the palate. Needs more malt character to balance things out. Unless you like sucking directly on a hop cone I would steer clear of this beer.
