on tap at Sugar Maple in Milwaukee. pours an apricot orangish-amber with a mild haze and three fingers of eggshell colored thick and creamy head. looks great in the glass.
aroma is rich and thick with hop oils, with a coniferous, dry character. little to no malt qualities here; this is all about the hops, and they are laid on thick. still, not overdone in the nose.
taste is full of hops with a thick and rich profile of hop oils. not much for malts here either, because the hops are too thick and rich to give way to any remnance of a malt note. still, the hops are thick enough to be chewy on the palate.
mouthfeel is full bodied with a chewy texture and a dry finish of residual piney hops. very well done without overdoing the hop qualities(although they are pushing it!).
drinkability is good; the sheer amount of hops here hurts the drinkability, but the brew is done well enough to remain at least a bit drinkable. a solid offering by Weyerbacher. cheers!

A: Pours a deep amber, with a small cream head that fades quickly.
S: Floral, piney and citrusy.
T: Pine notes predominate, subdued and not bitter. Grass and citrus as the beer warms.
M: Smooth and medium, if a little chewy.
