Strange Quad. Nutty on the nose (with banana?), just like you'd expect. But the middle is sour: grapefruit, granny smith apples, hint of raisins and nuts. And then the after is sour and a bit bitter with hops but not overpowering. It's a very interesting beer and definitely worth drinking, but the sourness is a little much and I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

Very smooth and high abv is well hidden. Lots of raisins and bread pudding flavors. Loved it.

This is what beer is all about.

Beer is suppose to be malt, hops, and yeast and this beer rings through in all these areas.
The good about this beer is it is different then anything I have tasted. It is almost like a port wine! This is definitely a dessert beer for sipping! Not a chugging beer. The flavors are complex

750 ml Corked bottle, poured cloudy into a snifter.
There is so many flavors Its hard to describe but one thing I will say it is sweet, berry and banana with alcoholic hints to the nose.
The first flavor on the tong is sweet then immediately sour.
Very faint bitterness but unsure of what the bitterness is, hops or something else.
There is a little bit of a yeast flavor of esters, banana, raspberry like, maybe strawberry too.
I know this is available in the spring but this is very strong and will keep you warm on a cold winters night. I'm going to stock up for the winter!
Great beer.
