750ml with the new labeling into a tulip.

A: Pours a murky prunish brown with a small beige head. Not a pretty beer by any means.

S: Nose brings sharp raisiny sweetness, buttery whiskey, brown bread, some notes of yeasty clove and nutmeg, a bit of oak.

T: Spike of booze, sherry, fig, moderate tannic whiskey, slight banana, grapes. Some vanilla and cooked sugar notes come out as it warms.

M: Thick-bodied with the appropriate coarse carbonation. Dry tannic feel on the tongue.

O: This beer is boozy as all hell, predictably. Not bad though. Let it warm up.

75 cl

Pours a hazy apple brown, yellowish head is coarse and dissipates surprisingly quickly to a bit of lacing.

Smells of apples, coriander, citrus, caramel, cloves, and bready malts like pie crust.

Flavor is of rich whiskey and apple with some spice notes and some darker fruit sweetness in the range of figs. Additionally, there is some citrus tartness and a mild floral hop bitterness.

Fuller body with sharp tingles of carbonation on the roof of the mouth and a slight booze numbness followed by a bit of warmth going down.

A real powerhouse quad, pretty good but not fantastic. Definitely worth trying and Weyerbacher rarely disappoints, but there are some other Quads I'd take before this and definitely other offerings from Weyerbacher I'd go for. But I will enjoy finish this one.

It pours a dark reddish color (nice when held up to the light) with a thin head of khaki foam. The aroma is really nice with big notes of plum, raisin, cinnamon, vanilla, wood and bourbon. Very inviting. The flavor is very sweet with sugar, plums, alcohol, caramel, wood and a lot of vanilla in the finish. Warming and fruity with some cinnamon, but a bit too sweet in the finish for my tastes.

Pours dark brown with a thin white head.

Smells-Vanilla, caramel,bourbon.

Tastes- The bourbon flavor was a bit over powering. But once the alcohol flavor faded a bit there is some brown sugar/vanilla sweetness that saves the beer from being to boozy.

MF-Very boozy beer with little to no carbonation.

Overall-Better than most beer with such a high ABV. The sweetness manages to prevent it from being too overwhelming but I will probably stick to Tripels and Dubbels in the future.
