2009 vintage. 750ml corked and caged bottle into a tulip glass. Cork came out with a light pop.
A - Cloudy dark pink body with some floaties. An aggressive pour yielded a very small white head and some edging. The last pour was especially gritty and sediment filled.
S - Raspberries, raspberries, and some light funk. Not a whole lot else is detectable. Just a touch of oak.
T - Sour raspberries and some spices. Very intense and fresh tasting. Theres a bit of acidity and funk followed by some oak notes, but the dominating force is the huge wave of raspberry puree.
M - Extremely fritzy and lively. Carbonation is very high making this very refreshing and light.
O - Not worth the price tag, but this is a very solid raspberry beer. I know the 2009 vintage is tamer than the 2010, which is a good thing because this was a very pleasant and refreshing beer. Perfect for the summer months.
