A: Blood-orange/apricot color with a creamy ecru head. Sticky sheets of lace cling to the glass, and a solid layer of foam sticks around. Not quite as sticky and fabulous as other harvest ales, but good nonetheless.
S: Honey graham cracker with a solid citrus presence. Not as pungent and dank as one would expect, but still very lovely. Quite the interesting malt profile. I'm looking forward to taking a swig.
T&M: Honey-drenched white grapefruit, light herbal and floral notes, giving way to a toasted caramel flavor. Finish brings in dry and subtle floral notes, a tea-like flavor (akin to an English Pale or IPA), and remnants of caramel malt toast. The hops are not very up-front here, which makes me wonder how fresh the bottle is. I can't discern a date on the bottle, but I'm guessing that this was probably bottled in sometime last fall (since hops are harvested around that time). Either way, it still tastes decent. Body is medium to full with an oily, sticky feel. Even if some of the flavor has died down, the unique feel contributed by the fresh hops remains.
D: Quite quaffable and very tasty. Weyerbacher makes good beer, so I'm not exactly surprised.

Taken from several years old notes.
A: 1/4" off white head that fell to light lacing. Clear copper body.
S: Toasted bread, caramel, and bitter hops.
T: Big bitter hop bite, toasty & pale malts with a hint of caramel all wilt under an onslaught of bitter hops. Not much other character to the hops though.
M: Medium-light body, fairly aggressive carbonation. Bitter, lasting finish.
O: Hugely bitter, which normally I like, but here, there's just not enough else happening. Just ok.
