This is a dark winter warmer, like the name says, it is good to drink by the fire's side.
The brew pours dark with a quickly dissapating head and a little lacing.
The smell is nutty and a little 'smoky'
The taste is nutty, I can't say whaty type, and 'smoky'. There might be some coffee, chocolate and carmel in the brew as well.
The mouthfeel is filling, tasty, almost as if you could 'chew' this beer. (if that makes any sense to you).
This beer has a strong alchohol finish, not at all unpleasant but you do taste the alchohol after the brew goes down leaving the drinker with a warm buzz.
Recommend for a cold winter night.

Brown muddy color.
Tiny off-white head; slight lacing.
Caramel malt nose; where's the smoke?
Medium mouthfeel, bordering on thick.
Mild flavor of sweet malts, like an English Barleywine. No smoke present.
Pleasant but ultimately forgettable.

From tasting notes. L: Pours brilliant dark amber to chestnut with a 1” cream colored head that dissipates to film. S: Light to moderate smoke on the nose with caramel and malt. T: The smoke approaches Schlenkerla levels and seasons sweet dark sugars, fruit, a little cola, a suggestion of anise and some bitterness in the aftertaste. F: Creamy, full bodied, medium carbonation. O: While a little sweet, fairly well balanced between the smoke and other flavors.
