Poured out of a bottle into my Duvel tulip.
A – Black as motor oil on the pour with a healthy 2 fingers of cocoa brown head that recedes to a nice cap.
S – Light aroma of vanilla, chocolate, dark fruits and roasted malts.
T – Starts off with a nice dark chocolate flavor with solid roasted malts. Definite vanilla hints that give off a nice sweetness. Small amount of bitterness and solid pop of alcohol burn that tingle the palate and throat on the way down. Belgian yeast flavor shows at the end with touches of wine like grape flavor.
M – Medium bodied with a very solid amount of carbonation that makes this feel very lively on the tongue.
O - Overall this is a spicy, boozy power stout. Its definitely a sipper and there is nothing tiny about it. Flavors are good with an interesting mix. Enjoyed this one and felt it as well.
