750ml corked bottle shared with wife.
Weyerbacher Tiny: bottle states a "Velvety concoction excites your senses with bottomless roasted, earthly and vinous notes".
Appearance: is not quite pitch black. Pour revealed a thick head but receded very quickly as beer settled.
Smell: was probably the best part. Distinct notes of plums, chocolates and raisons with cognac and whiskey overtones.
Taste: Again, from the smell I pick up cognac type flavors which I like. Chocolate not as noticable as others have indicated. Alcohol is hot as this may need to mature a bit. I really liked the taste and this reminds me more of a stout aged in whiskey barrels.
Overall: great beer as a late night sipper next to a roaring fire. Would like to try an aged version to give the alcohol time to smooth out.
Serving type: bottle
