Pours pitch black with a small brown head and lots of carbonation.
Smells like black cherry, pomegranate, estery, some plumb, very dark sweet malt background.
Taste is rich toasted malt with an almost wine quality from the dark fruit. Sweet dark malt complexity, a bit of balance from the hops though it's too dark to really tell what kind. The belgian yeast adds a smooth texture and a bit of hidden trademark banana flavor.
Medium-full body, spicy carbonation from the belgian yeast, a little boozy but that's to be expected. Lingering malt sweetness for a while. Potent but drinkable, just watch out for the ABV, otherwise delicious.
