Had this one tonight as I wasn't in the mood for a Sea Monster Stout. Poured into a Shaker pint glass, I got a four finger head. Color was a nice deep yellow. Initially clear, when the head subsided and I poured the rest of the bottle into the glass, it became slightly hazy.
Aroma was of sweet malt, doughy, definitely prominent yeast, and a hint of spiciness.
Taste was off a bit. It started somewhat more bitter than the nose indicated. This was followed by sweet malt, then a little bit of spiciness. Finish was medicinal and somewhat solvent-like. But not ethyl alcohol.
Mouthfeel put me off. A little thin, but it left a coating on the inside of my mouth that was somewhat slimy. Not the worst feeling I've ever gotten from a beer, but I can only think of two beers that were worse.
Drinkability was really bad. This was damn near a drain pour. I was seriously tempted, I really was. But I hate to waste beer, even bad beer. Fortunately, I can down a pint in less than two seconds if I need to. With this one, I needed to.

Appearance - Medium copper color with an off-white medium textured airy head with some lace remaining after the head dissipates.
Smell - Lightly soured banana like fruit aroma followed by light sweet alcohol and spicy resiny hops.
Taste - Sweet malt and lightly soured fruit followed by sweet alcohol with a spicy resiny hop finish.
Mouthfeel - Medium viscosity that is clean and light feeling with moderate carbonation, light bitterness, and a mild alcohol warmth as the beer goes down.
Overall - Well balanced with a light feel and very good flavor that gets better as the beer warms closer to stout serving temperature.
