Poured into a tall pint glass, color is amber, opaque, light tan head with some lacing, leaving a nice ring.

Smell is milder malt flavors, maybe some caramel, but some hints of vienna/munich style malts, light hop notes.

Taste is clean, crisp for an ale, nice simple flavors from the vienna/munich malts, light fruity malt sweetness, simple hop profile, i'm thinking noble style with some grassy flavors.

Mouthfeel is crisp, clean, touch of bitterness on the tongue, very nice and simple and clean.

Overall, an easy drinking hybrid style ale, lager type malts with ale yeast. Cleaner malt flavors and light hop flavor are pleasant.

look: 3.5 | smell: 3.5 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 3 | overall: 3.5

Appearance: Typical/unremarkable red ale color with a medium head that leaves blotchy lacing.

Smell: Malt and grain. Simple, and again, not too remarkable. I was underwhelmed.

Taste: The malt tastes pretty good, but it doesn't have the potency or complexity that I expected. Flavors are simple making this beer forgettable.

Mouthfeel: On the thin side (maybe this overall experience would have been better if this was thicker) but the carbonation is spot on.

Overall: As I said before, this is forgettable. I've been very happy drinking Great Lakes' Octoberfest and Thirsty Dog's Barktoberfest this year. Weyerbacher is a good company, but this one frankly disappoints.
