An average pour got a finger of off white, kind of boring looking head. The body is a little lighter than apple juice, and though plenty of light travels through it, there is almost no visibility through it. A small amount of lazy bubbles travel from bottom to top.
This is a very aromatic beer. Pears, bananas and grapes are very dominant odors up front. I'm getting a slight grainy smell, and a little spice, possibly clove. Light malt profile. Some yeast and something sweet akin to Belgian candy sugar.
Yeast and bananas are the main body of the flavor. Then sweetness and a mild grain break in, and it ends with all the flavors coming together with a good spice note.
Highly carbonated and creamy, this beer is medium-heavy bodied. Carbonation bites the tongue, and there is a little coating action. Slightly dry finish. Very good offering from Weyerbacher.
