Cloudy orange-amber with thin white head, moderate retention and small divided bits of lacing, sticking in various spots on the snifter glass.
A nutty and sweet aroma of bananas, various fruit and nuts, and just overall sweet malts. Slight alcohol presence afterward. No noticeable hops. Very pleasing nose food, giving a good preview of what's to proceed on the tongue. Very easy to detect these aromatic juices, without muscling your nose much.
A surprisingly medium palate(given the ABV),composed of sweet fruits, bananas, nuts and a sugary malted barley taste. The banana flavors are very obvious, should be instantly noticeable. Fruits are slight and varied, not quite as detectable. The sugary malt/barley follows through, proceeded by a slight and well-hidden alcohol notes. Well-carbonated and dangerously drinkable.
This is a very well-done Tripel. Not a big fan of the style, as it's far too sweet for my personal palate, but a good representation of it. Tripel fans should be satisfied.
