On tap at the Hulmeville Inn to go with a Phil's opening day come from behind victory. I enjoyed the victory much more than the beer.

Appearance: coppery gold color, nice head but not excessive.

Smell: Pungenty hops aroma has me excited to dive in.

Taste: Hm... not floral, not citrus, not... much of anything. I taste bittering hops and precious little else.

Mouthfeel: A bit on the thin side, altogether.

Overall: A disappointment. I hope the other 3 options are better or else I'm going to really miss Hops Infusion.

Pours a hazed golden amber color, soapy cap of white head, spotty retention and some light lacing. Scent is mostly made up of spicy hops, a touch of floral, citrus and earthy hops and well, fresh dried and lightly toasted grains as the backbone. First sip brings bitter and spicy hops... they attack the palate to a point where subsequent tastes pick up less and less of acompanying flavors - from the scent, floral, citrus are there but covered and the malt is light with a touch of fresh dried and toastyness. Medium bodied, quite dry, lingering bitterness. Not quite sure whats going on with this one, but its an excercise in spicy and bitter alpha hops rather then late addition floral, citrus and piney hops.

Had this one on tap at the Copper Mine Pub in North Arlington NJ this past weekend.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy copper to tangerine with a 1 finger dull white crown that displays moderate retention and medium lace.

Smell: Nice herbal bittering hops with a light toffee malt bill that is coming off slightly (ever so slightly) english in character.

Taste: Same as nose.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with a touch of satisfing thickness and good carbonation.

Overall: Drinkability is very good. Still seems like a hybrid btw and American and English IPA to me. I enjoyed this one more than most of the other people trying it along side of me at the bar.
