12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pours clear amber color with a half finger of thin, soapy foam. There is a nice hop aroma in the nose, with some earthy hoppiness.
First sip is... quite bitter, makes me pucker at first. Long lingering bitterness with a thin body. Not much residual sweetness at all here. There is a bit of toasty, bready, note to it, but it is fleeting. Most of the flavor is dominated by a strong earthy, minerally, hop presence.
This is good... but a bit out of balance. There is substantial hoppiness, but it comes across harshly.

Had this on-tap at the Brick Store Pub. A bit disappointing- I was expecting more from this IPA. Pours a little hazy with a grainy head, but excellent lacing with well defined rings in the glass. More grain in the aroma as well as a dash of citrus. The taste is similar- very dry, quite grainy, quite grassy and floral with just a modicum of citrus. The mouthfeel is grainy and mouthcoating. I'd say this beer is flawed by an inefficient sparge- just too much grain here and it overwhelms everything else.
