a hazy orange/amber pour with a finger of head which dissipated.
smells of spicy grassy hops, grapefruit.. hops and more hops!
a tangy citrus taste up front (not expecting that at all!) followed directly by the sweet backbone of the malts.. a bitter earthy hop finish.
a lighter medium body beer with a nice amount of carbonation. the bitterness from the hop finish causes almost a tart sensation on the back of the palate.
not bad at all for a year round ipa, but i was very confused when i barely tasted any hops! they're definitely there though, that bitter finish lingers for a good amount of time. i haven't even checked, but i also may have gotten a six pack that's been sitting on the shelf for a while. either way, still a pretty good beer.
