A - orangish amber with a thin, soft, loose layer of white head
S - faint malt, some pine, some citrus, musty, sweaty, and something akin to "homebrewy"
T - light malt, big hop notes - piny, herbal, spicy
M - medium bodied, well carbonated
This is a decent beer, but it doesn't stand out as an IPA. The malt character is rather light and the hop character is spicy and herbal. The hop character reminds me of a few Americanized versions of Pilsners that I've had. This isn't a bad beer, but it's a beer that won't fit a category. It won't satisfy IPA lovers, it's too intense to be a pale ale, and it doesn't fit comfortably elsewhere. I enjoyed this beer and I think it's worth a try, but I think it won't do well in the IPA category.
