Last Chance IPA, 5.9% ABV, is a full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. We’ve added a combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe® and Columbus hops to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

Weyerbacher Brewing Company donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of every drop of Last Chance IPA to small, local animal rescue organizations. These shelters offer dogs, cats and other pets their last chance to find a new home.
Have a glass and make a difference! Cheers!

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass.

Pours copper colored, foam to start, with none left behind. Grassy pine nose. Sharp open bitter. On the lighter malt side. Tongue scraping bitterness. Juicy taste.

Overall, I found it to be on the harsh side. All the other flavors fail to outstrip that.

Sunset gold in color, with a little haze and a frothy white head. The aroma is fruit-forward...peach and underripe strawberry...and a bit of background malt. the taste, tough, is all hops. Grapefruit, pine, lemon peel, and wood...hoppy and somewhat astringent. Nice, with just a touch of malt in the hind-taste. The beer is medium-full in body and has a respectable drink ability.

Resinous, grapefruity and herbal smells. It starts out with the bready sweet malt and the middle and end taste is a huge herbal and resinous bitterness. Its leafy and green tasting and sort of tastes like marijuana. Its a huge dry tasting IPA for a lower abv.

I've had this in the bottle and now on tap in a growler because of my friend Phil who works at my local Spirits Unlimited. In both of our opinion this on tap is far superior than the bottle for some reason. The leafy fresh hop taste comes through a lot more and tastes fantastic and it went from being an average IPA to an outstanding one. Definitely get this on tap and compare it to the highly rated IPA's on this site, you wont be disappointed.
