Pours a dark brown color bordering black with a dark tan head. Some lace is left behind in each of the snifters I had. The aroma had roasted malt notes, as well as coffee, bourbon, and just a touch of floral. In the taste, much of the same deep roasted coffee elements, vanilla and wood from the barrel, and a slight piney hop bitterness. Mild dark fruits. Damn tasty. The beer was well rounded and easy to drink, with copious malty sugars softening out the full bodied feel. Overall, Sunday Morning Stout was well received by all the tasters surrounding the keg, Worthwhile barrel notes on a solid imperial coffee stout base. A winner!
