P- Wegmans in Mechanicsburg,PA

A- a hazy copper with mahagony tones. A nice 3 finger head with frothy mountain peaks. Lacing is great and the appearance is enticing.

S- apricot, lemon zest and hints of grapefruit...I also get some sweet brown sugar caramel malts.

F- the flavor mimics the nose but the spice the tongue up nicely. The apricot and lemon zest come out first with the brown sugar malts on the back end. Nice complement to each other.

M- tangy and zesty for a beer...I love it. The mouth feel is slightly carbonated but the flavors come out nicely as it goes down.

O- this is a another good brew from Weyerbacher! I would love a case of this and even a quarter keg if I was having a party. Great stuff!!!

Dated 061013 & 101013, Reviewed 101713

A: This poured a nearly opaque copper with rocky white head.
S: It smelled like faint grapefruit and lemon zest, with some apricot and honey.
T: It tasted like bitter resin and grapefruit, with a little waxy hops and sweet honey. It had a strong bitter aftertaste.
M: It was watery with lots of carbonation. Lively body.
D: This was an ok IPA, but not great. Maybe the scent already faded, but the taste was still plenty potent. Just not all that enjoyable. The body wasn't right for the style, and the finish was a little harsh. So it wasn't very easy to drink either. I simply wasn't impressed with this brew.

Poured into a snifter

A-Copper colored opaque, thick white foamy head that leaves thick lacing that clings to side of glass. Not much head retention but lacing is long lasting.

S-Citrus hop bomb...grapefruit and mango, notes of pine, grassy, a bit bready with some malty sweetness

T-Follows the nose...nice balance between the citrus and pine of the hops and the sweetness of the malts...followed by a dry bitter finish

M-medium to full bodied, creamy, a bit dry on the back end

O-Nice IPA well balanced, creamy bodied, good hops presence but not over powering ...quite drinkable as the alcohol is fairly well hidden maybe a bit too bitter and dry on the finish but worth visiting again

Very hazy yellowish brown with a large white head and patchy lacing.

Dank, musty citrus and pine are prevalent in nose. There is a somewhat off-putting character that reminds me of sauteed cabbage and onions. Decent malt balance.

Big pine flavors, some more odd herbal notes, bitterness through the roof, way off balance. Like tea that steeped for way too long. Extremely bitter and dry. Very hard to finish.

Medium bodied, soft, firm due to bottle conditioning.

Yikes. Was looking forward to this but this beer falls short in a number of ways.

750 ml bottle of hops released this year let's see how it held up, looks great deep copper amber with a big head flowing forth light beige thicket of head forms nicely. Aroma has pine, citric notes with orange zest it's a great grassy floral quality of big hop layers in the nose, I'm liking it!!! Flavor is bitter with citrus zest and crushed aspirin, goes down exquisitely nice big beer with big hops and ample malts to balance out the show. Mouthfeel is big oily and accentuates all hop flavors fully I'm in love with this beer, it's a big hoppy badass beer that we need more of, the unfiltered aspect just adds to hop chunks floating in your glass who doesn't love that? Crushing waves of bitterness I'm not embarrassed to enjoy this onslaught of hops it's seems so fresh because of the big unfiltered raw hops in a 7.5% IPA I'm looking for more of this stuff and I know where to find it at retail get ready for a resinous hop mouthfeel with ample natural smooth carbonation all day. Great overall experience there's nothing like this on the market go and try some if you catch it soon, I hope they re release this stuff this coming summer!!!
