Serving: 5 oz sampler
Served: 1 June

Appearance: Very lightly yellow, clear, seemingly very thin. Looks kind of like apple juice, just a little lighter in color. Kind of sickly looking if held up towards the light.

Smell: Typical 'beer' smell. Nothing too special going on with the nose. Smells crisp and clean, but very unsophisticated.

Taste: Not surprisingly, very simple. It tastes like your standard run-of-the-mill beer. Can't really notice anything that lets it stand out. Tastes kind of sweet, evident of its style. On the menu, it mentioned that this was the lightest beer offered (calorie wise) and you can really tell- it tastes watered down.

Mouthfeel: Here's where that wateriness really is off putting. There isn't much carbonation in this beer, I found, and it just feels thin in your mouth. The mouthfeel is easily the worst part of this beer.

Overall: Nothing special, but nothing worth avoiding either. Definitely a good pick for the sampler, but not something I would order a pint of. Mickey Finn's has much better options available than this.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

847 representin'! This guy pours a hazy pale straw topped by a half-finger of white micro-foam. The nose comprises light lemon, light banana, cardamom, pepper, and some light miscellaneous greens. The taste is stronger on the citrus (particularly lemon and orange rind), which is joined by coriander, wheat, pepper, and salad greens. The body is light, with a moderate carbonation and a crisp-ish finish. Overall, a nice APWA, nothing overtly special, but quite enjoyable on a summer's night with some friends.

Smooth, regular, dependable, drinkable. All words that fit this brew, available year round at the brewery.

Pours a minimal head and a slight orange-yellow color, with many a medium amount of bubbles.

Smells of wheat and grains, with a very small hint of orange peel and apple.

Medium strength taste of wheat, good presence of malt not too overpowering, and very little bitterness.

Drinkable and smooth, not too heavily carbonated, and worthy of repeating.

Promoted as their most requested brew, reflects the area code of Chicago's Northern Suburbs.

Served in a pint glass at Mickey Finn's in Libertyville, IL

The appearance is a pale cloudy golden color with a nice thick finger of white foam on the top. The smell is clearly of wheat malt as well as what appears to be peaches and cardamom. The overall aroma is similar to a cake-like peach cobbler. The taste is absolutely wheat malt along with a banana hint and the cardamom is also palpable. There is a good carbonation and a nice medium body to this. It's rather nice and drinkable and good for almost anytime of year. A definite recommendation if you find yourself in the brewery, it's always there and always available.
