An easy pour revealed a fat finger of creamy white rocky foam with very long retention, no lacing remained.
Dark golden straw color, very hazy, I can't read through it.
Grain and Citra hops great the nose as rye, wheat and pale malt with a citrus aroma featuring grapefruit.
There is some toasted character and a slight silage funk.
Bold and hoppy taste with matching items from the smell, neutral on sweetness with average bitterness.
The big multi-grain malt bill keeps citrus juiciness in check, this in turn smooths out the hop bitterness.
The rye shines at the fast finish as toasted rye bread, it dries to semi dry while hop bitterness creeps over average.
The aftertaste is mellow and short with a mild lingering hop bitterness.
Medium light body with soft and plentiful carbonation. Smooth and very well balanced, alcohol is cleverly hidden making this beer appear session-able. It warms nicely, flavors build without a big rise in bitterness.
Canned on 04/09/20.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Kappy's in Norwell for about fourteen dollars. Have heard of this brewery before, but never tried. Pretty solid brew, will look forward to trying their other brews.

Look: light cloudy golden color with a 4F head in a Spiegelau IPA glass. Excellent head retention.
Aroma: not as strong as expected with Citra. Light citrus and rye.
MF: the body is a bit too light for the style. Carbonation is moderate.
Taste: excellent, especially with warming. Robust citrus, some rye, toffee.
Overall: excllent beer. The aroma needs some tweaking and the body could be a bit fuller. Otherwise, enjoyable to drink.

On-tap 6/16/2016 at the brewpub in Hudson, MA served in a tulip glass.
A: The beer is a deep orange/amber color, with a large off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong but not over-powering hops bitterness comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to drink for a long time.
