Paid $7.50 at the brewery for a 6 pack...

The appearence is alright, a nice amber colored ale with a small-medium sized head, retains better than most and laces just a touch. All American label which is quite nice... The aroma is the high point of this beer, it was the dual citrus-floral blend that was nice and lgith to one's nose.

The taste is pretty good, more hoppy than one would get from the smell, bitter, but good bitter... The mouthfeel is a medium body fairly good on the pallette and the drinkability is above par, but can't drink these as a session, it's nice...

FInal Thought: This didn't really stand out as a top notch beer, nor is it to be ignored as just an above average beer
> Some people will really like this!

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 11/11/2014. Pours fairly crystal clear deep gold color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, light caramel, toast, biscuit, floral, grass, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with well balances citrus/floral hops and pale/bready malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, light pine, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, grass, light caramel, light toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and robustness of citrus/floral hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a nice crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice and pleasant pale ale style. Good balance of citrus/grassy hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Citrus, floral aroma and taste. Lower on the bitterness scale for an ale (~50 IBU). Taste has a bit of bready nature to it. An ale that can serve as either a dinner or a party option, with its lighter tones and texture. As a small, Pennsylvania brewery, Stoudts really holds it's own here.

(on tap at Pete's Famous Pizza)

A: surprisingly fantastic pour in a cold pint.... solid, rocky, cottony head - color of recycled egg crate paper... clear, golden liquid... lace left in broad bands, ample cover

S: balance of toasty, cereal-y malts and hop pellets.... mellow... unmistakable, straight-up APA

T: up front - nice, smooth, lightly-spicy hops... light-medium bitterness.... firm malt follow-through after each sip... malt a bit obscured in the background.... mild, mid-range crystal malt sweetness, but very naked flavor from it - like chewing on the grains

M: ideal lighter body and dry finish for the style... bit of a frothy wash from the foam

O: quintessential APA... quite well done... something to seek out in the summer
