Served on tap at the Stoudt's Restaurant in a stemmed glass.
Jet black almost glossy body. Nice mocha colored, creamy, bubbly head. Great lace which fades into an interestingly consistent polka dotted pattern.
Aromas of mocha, bakers chocolate, very faint spice. Nose is a tad watered down for lack of a better term. Not as rich or intense as other Imperial Stouts. It developed a sweet breadyness as it warmed.
Flavor is dark and intense. Roasted oats, dark chocolates, bit of nuttiness, light hops. Alcohol is a bit noticeable, though not much. Very smooth and quite drinkable considering the ABV and style.
Serving type: on-tap
