As always, a big thanks Mike (InebriatedJoker) for the tasty extra!
Pours a deep dark and non-transparent brown. Thin ring of head that retains as its warmed up.
Not much of an aroma, but I do smell the dark malts and chocolate notes.
Thick and chewy mouth feel carried by a high carbonation. Tasting burnt malts, dark bitter baking chocolate and a bit of hazelnut. Slight alcohol warming in the finish and the bitterness lingers.
My first Stoudt's beer and a nice imperial oatmeal, really boozy and despite the high ABV I'd sip another any day.
