fat dog, bottled 6/08. I've had this in the cellar about a year.
dark brown appearing black in the glass but not quite opaque when held to the light. Thick long lasting tan cap of foam. Lace panels.
scent is chocolate, coffee, molasses, citrus hops
nice oatmeal flavor. chewy. slight molasses note. long finish with a slightly spicy flavor. very mild chocolate and coffee notes. earthy. light fruity flavors.
satisfying chewy mouth feel.
drinkabilty is great. abv only notable via slight warming in the throat.
Mild and easy to drink. A good stout in one of my favorite styles.
