Thanks to JoeyBeerBelly for this one...

Pours a nice transparent gold color, with a creamy white head which lasts for the duration. Nice bready aromas, some sweetness too. Sweet malt up front, a kiss of lemon, and an incredibly crisp and clean hop bite. Excellent mouthfeel, lively on the tongue, with a very brief lingering bitterness. An everyday-drinker if I've ever had one. Would compliment an endless array of meals. Really tasty!

I used to drive to the brewery to grab kegs of this as well as the Honer Double Mai Bock and the Honey Double Bock.
To me this was one of the best American made German style Gold lagers.
The contract brewed 12oz bottles were good, but nowhere near as good as the barrel from the brewery.
Remember 2 prong kegs?
I will miss you Caroll and Ed!

Poured from the bottle into a nonic pint.

A: fluffy white head settles into 1 mm ring. Minimal lacing.

S: Not strong in any way. Gentle. Light earthiness, hint of herbal, citric noble style hops. Malt is also light bready note.

T: Subtle earty hops, light mixed berry notes, super light bready malt note.

M: Starts off light medium, grows to medium the ends with a creaminesss then a hair bit of dry chalkiness then a slight bitterness and a super light slickness.

O: pretty drinkable, more interesting than AAL yet equally as sessionable as any of those.

L: clear golden pale with somewhat foamy head with quick dissipating lace
S: light bitterly hops rise up first with a grassy yet sweet nutty backend; what a combo
T: follows smell but finishes with a very light hops bitterness; wonderfully done
F: well balanced smooth rich feel
O: this is a very well done beer that has a happy front end but with a balancing out maltiness backend. Great job Stoudts
