Bottle > Sensory Pils Glass
A - Clear orange amber with two fingers of fluffy white head, nice lacing.
S - Very astringent, a little caramel and biscuit malt, light toffee notes, floral hops, a little fruit.
T - Nice balance of malt and hops, its more on the earthy and floral side of the hop realm, a little soapy on the end.
M - Medium feel, a tad sticky.
O - Decent hoppy red ale, its just too soapy/astringent for me to have again.

Pours a slightly hazy, dark golden orange color with apricot colored edges and a two finger, frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Great retention with streaks of soapy lacing coating the glass on the way down.
Floral, resinous hop aroma with some earthy pine, fresh cut grass and dank buds countered by toast bread and a sweet malt backbone. Some spicy hop character with a touch of citrus but the hop profile is more oil-y and earthy than sweet. Underneath, there's a strong caramel backbone with hints of bread, toffee sweetness, spicy rye, roasted nut and sunflower seed. Nothing about the nose really stands out but there's a decent hop presence that doesn't completely overpower the other notes.
Medium body with spicy, bitter hop flavor that lingers over the sweeter notes into a dry finish. Dry and resinous with sticky pine and earthy grass notes dominating the palate. Much more hop forward than the nose hinted at. Hop profile is a bit one dimensional but the flavor is pretty nice and not overwhelmingly dry or intensely bitter. Really well balanced with a sweet malt backbone coming through on the back end. These sweeter notes really start to show as the beer warms with hints of caramel, toast, toffee, hazelnut and a touch of dark fruit. Faint boozy sweetness in the finish but the ABV is well masked with not heat whatsoever. Not the most complex beer but it's well balanced and easy to drink with nice flavor. I could easily drink several of these in one session. Solid beer from Stoudts.
