A real gem of a place.

Dark, old-school feeling, approaching the small bar I order a pilsner and gaze around. All personal taps, other patrons say all are good. I get the pilsner in a pint and order the Pub Steak with fries. Pilsner was good, bitey but balanced. Restaurant is apparantly the place to be for a steak, and next door there is a bakery with fresh bread. Sandwich comes and it's excellent, the fresh roll being the capping touch. Octoberfest is my next beer and it's just as good. Bartender is competent and friendly. I finish, pay my meal and get a sixer of the Double IPA to go (did not have this since I was driving but will drink and review).

Great place, can't wait to get back and try more.

The exterior looks new, but the interior is vintage. It has interesting history... There are lots of fun and unique antiques. It is unique and totally fun!

Ate at the restaurant and had some beers. The decor in the restaurant is an attempt at German beer house, but it seems a bit dated and stale. I've also been to a beerfest that was in the back "indoor beer garden" area.

Quality of the beer is okay, they do basic styles well, but nothing very innovative. But you can find a beer you would like. Service was good. The food is steaks and German and PA Dutch cooking - sausages, spaetzle, schnitzel, etc. It was okay.
